Slovakia - new OSCE Chair 2019
The new Chairman in Office with the Permanent Representatives of participating States and Directors of OSCE Institutions.
Slovakia has assumed the Chairmanship of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) for the year 2019. The new Chairman in Office, Mr Miroslav Lajcák, Foreign Minister of Slovakia, addressed the OSCE Permanent Council on 10 January. Slovakia´s emphasis is on preventing, mediating and mitigating conflict while focusing on the people it affects; providing for a safer future; and promoting effective multilateralism.
