State Secretary of the MFA meets with Executive Secretary of CTBTO.

Increased participation of Iceland in the verification regime of the Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty organization (CTBTO was discussed at a meeting between the State Secretary of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Iceland, Ambassador Sturla Sigurjónsson, and Dr Lassina Zerbo, Executive Secretary of the CTBTO  in Vienna on 17 February. Among topics for discussions was the status of the CTBTO International Monitoring System (IMS), the importance of on-site inspections and infrasound projects. Two IMS monitoring stations are operating in Iceland.
