National Plans of Action important for the implementation of UNSCR 1325.
Ambassador Guðni Bragason, Permanent Representative of Iceland to the OSCE, mentioned the importance of the National Action Plans for the implementation of the UNSCR 1325 on Women, Peace and Security, and suggested that the pol-mil dimension could be improved through the National Action Plans, at a meeting of the Forum for Security Cooperation (FSC) on 11th March 2020. In the present and third Icelandic NAP for the years 2018 – 2022 there are provisions for gender considerations in participation in peace-keeping operations in various places.
