The Guangdong 21st Century Maritime Silk Road International Expo 2021 in Guangzhou

Between the 23-26 of September, Deputy Head of Mission, William Freyr Huntingdon-Williams, and Trade Representative, Pétur Yang Li, from the Embassy of Iceland, Beijing, visited the city of Guangzhou.

There, Iceland´s Deputy Head of Mission participated in the Opening Ceremony of the Guangdong 21st Century Maritime Silk Road International Expo 2021 as well as the Expo´s Theme Forum.

This was the first time that Iceland participated in the Expo. Iceland´s pavilion at the expo hosted five companies: BioEffect, Yggdrasill, Iceland Spring, Iceware, and Path Home. The pavilion was well attended by the public, officials, and media, as well as receiving a visit by local primary school pupils interested in learning about Iceland.
