Hanna Katrín took office as Minister of Industries on 21 December 2024.
She has been a member of Alþingi for Viðreisn Liberal Reform Party since 2016.
Hanna Katrín was born in Paris, France, on 4 August 1964. Spouse: Ragnhildur Sverrisdóttir. Daughters: Elísabet and Margrét.
She completed a matriculation examination from Menntaskólinn í Reykjavik in 1985, a BA degree in Philosophy and Economics from the University of Iceland 1999 and an MBA from the University of California Davis 2001.
