Briefings about Iceland in eight European countries
Briefings emphasizing Iceland as an unique tourist destination, following the volcanic eruption in Eyjafjallajökull, will be held in eight European countries this week. The briefings, which take place in Milan, Barcelona, Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo, will then be followed by briefings in New York, Boston and Seattle.
Iceland's ambassadors, geophysicists and representatives of the travel industry will discuss the recent volcanic eruption, which has affected travels around the world, but also been a stark reminder of how the forces of nature shape a country and make it an extraordinary place to visit. The briefings are mainly aimed at travel organisers and travel writers and are a part of the Inspired by Iceland campaign which was launced last Friday.
