Prime Minister attends Nordic meetings in Helsinki, Finland
The Prime Minister is today participating in the meeting of Nordic and Baltic States‘ Prime Ministers in Helsinki. The agenda for the meeting includes discussions on the economic situation in Europe, international issues and various aspects of co-operation between the Nordic and Baltic States, which is in constant development.
Tomorrow, the nordic ministers have their autumn meeting, as well as a meeting with the self-governing regions, Faroe Islands, Greenland and Åland Islands. The Prime Ministers will all take part in the opening session of the Nordic Council, beginning in the afternoon, where their opening speeches will be held. The Nordic Council celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, and is the inter-parliamentary forum for co-operation beetween the Nordic countries.
