New Legislation on E-cigarettes Will Take Effect on 1 March 2019

A new Act on e-cigarettes and refillcontainers will take effect on 1 March 2019. The Act is based on the Bill presented by the Minister of Health on the import, marketing, use and safety of these products, and measures to prevent the use of e-cigarettes by children. Various amendments were made to the Bill during the parliamentary process.

The adoption of this legislation is in part in line with the Directive of the European Parliament and the Council on the approximation of the laws, regulations and administrative provisions of the Member States concerning the manufacture, presentation and sale of tobacco and related products.
