Embassy of Iceland in Washington starts issuing Schengen visas for tourists to Iceland

Yesterday was a big day for us here at the Embassy of Iceland. Ambassador Ellertsdóttir signed a contract with VFS Global to receive applications for Schengen visas for travelers to Iceland on our behalf.

As of this week all applications for visas in Washington DC will be processed by the Embassy and as of March 1st all visas issued in the United States will be issued by the Embassy. Ms. Ásdís Hreinsdóttir will be the head of the new visa section and Mrs. Ann-Sofie Cox will be our new visa and administrative officer.
