You can apply for Schengen visas in three additional Indian cities

The Embassy of Iceland in New Delhi added this week for applications for Schengen visas to Iceland in three Indian cities. In total, applications are received in nine cities in India.

The three cities added this week are Pune, Kochi and Chennai. Applicants in these cities can now apply for Schengen visa to Iceland at the service points of the service provider VFS Global. Earlier it was possible to apply for a Visa in the cities of Chandigarh, Goa, Kolkata, Bangalore and Mumbai, as well as the capital of New Delhi and the cities therefore become nine. At the beginning of March, two additional locations will be operational and it will be possible to apply for a visa to Iceland in eleven cities in India.

In recent years, the Danish Embassy in New Delhi has handled the processing of applications and the issuance of Schengen visas to Iceland. It includes part of improving the service to foreign tourists who come to Iceland from India and at the same time support Icelandic tourism.

Finally, it is worth noting that applicants in India and the US can now electronically pre-register an application on the Directorate of Immigration website visa.government.is  before arriving at the point of application with passports and supporting documents.
