Ambassador Bergdis Ellertsdottir presents Letter of Credence to President Donald Trump

On September 16th 2019, Ambassador Bergdis Ellertsdottir presented her Letter of Credence to President Donald Trump and is now formally the Ambassador of Iceland️ to the United States.

During the credential ceremony at the White House Ambassador Ellertsdottir and President Donald Trump exchanged remarks on the long-standing and solid bilateral relationship between the two countries and the shared cultural, economic and political values.

Bergdis Ellertsdottir is the 17th Ambassador of Iceland accredited to the United States and the first woman to serve in that position.
