Ambassador Flygenring visits Kochi Prefecture

The Ambassador of Iceland to Japan Elin Flygenring visited Kochi Prefecture, and met with the Mayor of Kochi City Seiya Okazaki as well as the Governor of Kochi Prefecture Masano Ozaki.

Ambassador Flygenring was in Kochi as the keynote speaker at a seminar on gender equality, hosted by the Kochi Gender Equality Promotion Center. The Ambassador´s lecture was titled: Iceland, and its path to a gender equal society.

The Ambassador also visited the Center for Advanced Marine Core Research at Kochi University, which currently is running a collaborative research project with Institute of Earth Sciences at the University of Iceland.
