Your views matter!

Would you like to participate in the shaping of Iceland’s first policy on the matters of immigrants and refugees? The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour is currently working on a future vision and invites you to open consultation meetings around the country to hear your views on the most important integration issues affecting you. The policy aims to provide immigrants the opportunity to better integrate (inclusion) and actively participate in society.

We were in Akureyri yesterday, and will be in Ísafjörður tomorrow, November 29th at 17:00-19:00. Please join!

More meetings will follow in January. Immigrants are especially encouraged to join the meetings. English and Polish interpretation will be available. Everyone welcome!

A status assessment (green paper) which includes suggested key issues for the forthcoming policy on the matters of immigrants and refugees has been published. It is available in English, Polish and Icelandic.
