Foreign Minister attending UN General Assembly
Ossur Skarphedinsson, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Iceland, is attending the 64th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York this week. The Minister will address the General Assembly on Saturday, 26 September. He will also lead a meeting of the Nordic and Baltic Countries on 23 September and attend a summit on climate change hosted by the UN’s Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon. The Foreign Minister will also particpate in a Conference on Facilitating the Entry into Force of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty, Thursday 24 September.
The Foreign Minister will hold bilateral talks with other foreign ministers while attending the General Assembly.
