Ambassador Thorir Ibsen visited the Icelandic Chinese joint venture company - San Hai Gen in Kunming (Yunnan province of China), where he experienced what Chinese knowledge can do to transform Icelandic seafood into valuable delicacy. With the deepening of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, more and more Icelandic seafood specialties, including sea cucumber, salmon and Arctic Charr, are increasingly entering the Chinese market. It is hoped that these Icelandic seafood specialties shall be enjoyed by the hundreds of millions of Chinese households.
