Ambassador Kristin A. Arnadottir presents her credentials in Vietnam

On December 9, Ambassador Kristin A. Arnadottir presented her credentials to President Nguyen Minh Triet in Hanoi. After the presentation, they discussed bilateral relations between the countries, the ongoing negotiations on Free Tread Agreement between Vietnam and the EFTA countries and the growing trade between Iceland and Vietnam. The President of Vietnam used the occasion to express gratitude towards the Icelandic people for their warm feelings and support when Vietnam was going through difficulties in the past and their acceptance of Vietnamese refugees two decades ago.

Furthermore, during her visit in Hanoi, the Ambassador had meetings with Dr. Nguyen Thanh Son Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Le Danh Vinh Vice-Minister of Industry and Trade and Dr. Nguyen Thi Xuan Thu, Vice Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries.
