OECD publishes economic forecast for Iceland
Economic growth in Iceland was considerably more robust than expected in 2013, reflecting strong exports and buoyant tourist spending, according to Economic Outlook May 2014, published by OECD today.
The report features, among other things, a chapter on economic developments in Iceland in 2013 and a two-year forecast.
Significant employment gains and policy decisions to reduce household debt will stimulate private consumption and further fuel the recovery in 2014, the report states.
