Due to the COVID-19 virus the reception of the Embassy of Iceland will be closed to the public until further notice. Phone lines will remain open during office hours between 9 am and 4 pm during the week. You can reach us by calling +1 202-265-6653 or send us an e-mail to [email protected].

This does not mean that the Embassy staff is not on duty. Like most, we are working from home and discovering new ways to work and communicate online. Never has a good internet connection mattered more! Every morning we have a online team Iceland meeting discussing the situation and the tasks ahead. The focus is on assisting Icelanders in need and Icelandic travelers wishing to return home.
