The reception of the Embassy of Iceland in Tokyo is open on weekdays (Monday-Friday) from 10.00 to 16.00. Appointments for passport applications must be made in advance, please contact: tokyo[at]mfa.is
The Embassy's reception is closed on the following national holidays in Japan and special Icelandic holidays:
- 1 & 2 January: New Year (Shogatsu)
- 8 January: Coming of Age Day
- 12 February: National Foundation Day
- 23 February: Emperor’s Birthday
- 20 March: Vernal Equinox Day
- 29 March: Good Friday
- 29 April: Showa Day
- 3 May: Constitution Memorial Day
- 6 May: Children’s Day
- 17 June: Icelandic National Day
- 15 July: Marine Day
- 12 August: Mountain Day
- 16 September: Respect for the Aged Day
- 23 September: Autumnal Equinox Day
- 14 October: Sports Day
- 4 November: Culture Day
- 24 December: Christmas Eve (Reception open until 13.00)
- 25 December: Christmas Day
