Icelandic Composer Hildur Guðnadóttir wins Oscar for best original score

Proud Moment – Icelandic Composer, Hildur Guðnadóttir has been racking up numerous awards and nominations over the past few months. She took home a Grammy award for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media for her composition of the score for Chernobyl, Golden Globe for Best Original Score for ‘Joker’. This is the first time a woman has won this award as a solo composer in the history of the Golden Globes , BAFTA Music Awards and now an Oscar. She is the fourth woman to win in the Oscars’ scoring categories, and the first since 1997.
