International equal rights prize to Iceland

Minister of Industry and Commerce Ragnheiður Elín Árnadóttir, Minister of Social Affairs and Housing Eygló Harðardóttir, and Minister of the Interior Hanna Birna Kristjánsdóttir accepted the award on Iceland's behalf.

Over 500 parliamentary women participated in the forum, which was held by the European Parliament. Also attending were former Prime Minister Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir, a special guest of the forum, and several women currently serving as members of Alþingi, the Icelandic Parliament.
