Ambassador Ibsen Boosting Trade & Economic Cooperation with Sichuan

Ambassador Thorir Ibsen visited the 19th Western China International Fair (WCIF), where the Embassy organized Icelandic group participation.  During his visit, Ambassador Ibsen met with Governor of Sichuan Mr Huang Qiang to exchange views on various cooperation opportunities between Iceland and Sichuan, especially in the fields of tourism, low-carbon technology, rehabilitation and health, and scientific research cooperation.  Ambassador Ibsen also visited the Ossur stand and the joint Icelandic stand at WCIF that includes BioEffect cosmetics, Omnon chocolate, Icewear outdoor clothing and Life Iceland sea cucumber, where he received the interview of a leading Chinese news portal  to introduce the unique Icelandic products.

In addition, Ambassador Ibsen also visited the BioEffect stand at a newly-opened leading shopping mall in Chengdu and the local partner of Ossur - Sichuan Rehabilitation & Aid Device Technical Center.

At WCIF's  "Travel the World" Tourism Promotion Conference, Trade Representative Petur Yang Li  introduced unique Iceland to an audience of local travel agencies and media.
