State Secretary of the MFA meets with new Head of IAEA.

Increased contribution of Iceland to the work of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna was among topics at a meeting between the Permanent Secretary of State of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Iceland, Ambassador Sturla Sigurjónsson and the new Director General of the IAEA, Dr. Rafael Mariano Grossi. Discussed was i. a. the work of the Agency on nuclear safety and security, as well as the technical cooperation programmes.
