Ambassador Gudni Bragason presented his letter of Credence in Sri Lanka

Ambassador Guðni Bragason presented his Letter of Credence to H. E. Gotabaya Rajapaksa President of Sri Lanka on 1st February 2022. The ceremony took place in the Presidential Palace in Colombo in the presence of Foreign Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris and Secretary to the President Gamini Senarath. The two countries enjoy a long-standing cooperation and good relations, especially in the field of fisheries, through the cooperation of the Fisheries Training Programme in Iceland and the National Aquatic Resources Research and Development Agency (NARA) in Colombo. During his visit to Sri Lanka Ambassador Bragason held consultations with dr. H.M.P Kithsiri, Director General of NARA on future cooperation possibilities, accompanied by the Consul General of Iceland, Mr Prakrama Sujan Wijewardene.
