Author Kristín Ragna Gunnarsdóttir at the Jaipur Literature Festival

Nordic mythology and gods were prominently presented at the Jaipur Literature Festival in India on 13th March 2022 when author and artist Kristín Ragna Gunnarsdóttir read from her works and discussed their background and sources. The audience was familiar with the world of Loki, Fenriswolf and other creatures from the Nordic mythology  that  Kristín Ragna uses in her works. Mythology and ancient literary traditions are an integral part of the daily life in India. The Jaipur Literature Festival is regarded as one of the most respected in India. The Embassy in New Delhi organized the Icelandic participation in the Festival, in cooperation with the Icelandic Literature Centre and the MFA in Reykjavík.
